![]() ![]() What I meant to say was the file destination location name is too long, that appears to be the cause. Does anyone know how I could get this resolved? Do I go to Microsoft about this? Any help greatly appreciated. It seems very much like the file destination location is too long. I believe I've found the fault though, I had forgotten that I usually remove the various artists part from the folder name so I removed it and every flac file played. I then deleted the file I just fixed then went to update the CDDB on freac for the cd then ripped the cd to flac again but this time 3 flac files wouldn't play. I believe the file name or something similar has to do with it ( it really just stood out as it's 81 characters long) so I renamed the file through freac down to 55 characters and it worked. What got me was on the hard drive it would play, on flash drive it wouldn't, however I did find a way to fix this particular file. Most Cd's so far have been ok but I just ran into a problem where 1 FLAC file wouldn't play. I only knew the may 22 culmative update was available because I just checked after installing windows media player because I have update OCD lol. ![]() Uninstalling windows media player and then re-installing which I believe triggered the may 22 culmative update despite having installed it before seemed as though it fixed the problem. I hope this will be considered for archiving even if it is editted and can help someone else all the frustration of these problems. By the way my chemical romance is back, I couldn't believe it lol. Change the track number to the desired order and change the album information to whatever you like, for example my favourite my chemical romance songs. Once ripped place album in desired location then simply click and drag the files you want to add to the playlist. fre:ac offer a more up to date flac codec in comparison to Windows media player. You just rip a cd through fre:ac, you can submit information if the cd information is wrong which it was slightly for a cd which I had a part one and part two. Although I don't use "create playlist" in the app I simply change the track numbers and the album information. I'd recommend it anyone looking to make playlists. I need to be able to edit metadata to create custom playlists.įigured out how to edit album name and track number for flac files (which I was unable to do through windows at the location of the files) through fre:ac free audio converter, it's pretty simple really. Ripped 5 albums to FLAC no issues except metadata, I'm looking to rip to a lossless format compatible with Android 6 ( device I use as music player ).Īnyone have any be words of wisdom, what's the quickest and easiest way with metadata? Don't understand why I can't edit album information etc was very easy last time. Any ideas how to get to edit album information again and should I open another post for that?ĥ Albums all good. I can't edit album information though which is an obstacle in creating playlists.ģ discs ok so far. I only very recently uninstalled windows media player and then re-installed then the may 22 culmative update came up for 2nd time, restarted and 1st cd ripped ok and transferred to preferred destination. extract the contents of freac-cdk-1.0.x-windows.zip to anywhere you like create a folder structure like this: /cdk (contains folder system and cdk.bat) /cdk/freac (rename folder from freac-1.1.x.tar.gz package) /cdk/smooth (rename folder from smooth-0.9.x.tar.gz package) run cdk.bat enter: make & cd smooth & make & cd.
